Terms of Service

1. What Certo does

Certo prepares and files standard lien and personal loan documents on your behalf, and reports payment activity to consumer credit bureaus where legally permitted.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18+, a U.S. resident, and currently in a state we serve (California at launch). Both lender and borrower must consent and verify identity.

3. Not legal advice

We're a document preparation service, not a law firm. See our disclaimer.

4. Fees

We charge a flat fee per filing, displayed before you sign. No hidden charges, no subscription, no recurring billing.

5. Accurate information

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit. Filing a false lien is a serious offense — don't do it.

6. Reporting & disputes

We report to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Borrowers may dispute any reported entry through our dispute flow.

7. Termination

You can close your account anytime. Active filings remain on record until released (loan paid) or withdrawn.

8. Liability

Certo is provided as-is. Our maximum liability is the fee you paid for the filing in question.
